About

I am a fully qualified and accredited therapist with extensive experience supporting people through a wide variety of issues that arise throughout life.

My career journey has been diverse, and I believe each part of it informs and enriches my counselling practice. Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in a hospital supporting people with learning difficulties, served as an HR Manager in both small and large organisations, including an medical aid charity. I also have experience in professional and executive coaching, career counselling, and CV development.

Since 2011, my primary focus has been on counselling. I have spent many years working with survivors of sexual violence, including childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault/rape. This work has given me significant experience supporting clients dealing with trauma, PTSD, complex PTSD, suicidal feelings, and self-harm.

I also work with clients facing grief, pregnancy and childlessness challenges, and the complexities of blended families.

In recent years, I have supported many neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and autism, learning in the process that each person’s neurodiversity is unique to them and that support needs to be adapted to the needs of the individual.
