Sue Simpkin BA (Hons), MA MBACP (Accredited)

Psychotherapeutic Counsellor

I offer counselling and psychotherapy for adults navigating a wide range of life experiences and challenges. My practice is grounded in a collaborative, integrative approach that values each client’s unique story and way of making sense of the world.

Whether you’re dealing with the lasting impact of sexual or domestic violence, trauma, relationship or family difficulties or seeking to navigate a life transition, I provide a supportive yet gently challenging space where meaningful change can unfold.

I believe that by exploring the past in a safe space, we can learn to live more fully in the present and begin to look forward to the future. My logo is a dragonfly because the dragonfly changes form throughout its life. It represents becoming your true self through transformation. As a spirit animal, it represents having the wisdom and resilience to adapt to the challenges life brings us and grow as a result.

I’ve been a practising therapist since 2011, working with a broad variety of clients from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of issues. I am a fully qualified and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP Accred.) and a MIND-credentialled therapist. I work in accordance with the BACP’s good practice guidelines, which include ongoing professional development and regular clinical supervision.

I recognise that no single approach fits everyone. I aim to work with you collaboratively to understand what you want and need from counselling, whether you are neurotypical or neurodivergent,  drawing on a variety of therapeutic models and techniques to support your goals.

I offer sessions in person from a beautiful and private setting in the heart of Norwich, near Tombland, as well as by phone or online — making therapy accessible in a way that works for you.

I charge £50.00 per hour and offer some concessionary rates.

If you would like to know more, please get in touch via the form below or by emailing sue@thecoachhouse.me to arrange a free 30-minute consultation either on the phone or in person.
